Drive awareness of the new John Wall Zig Encore Basketball shoe, and elevate the Reebok brand via social media.
The “John Wall Zig Encore” social media campaign invited basketball fans to participate in a chance to win a pair of John Wall’s new signature Reeboks all for themselves. The campaign kicked off with a giveaway: 21 shoes in 21 days. Fans swarmed to the official Reebok Facebook page for a chance to win. A cross-channel content marketing strategy was created to mobilize the hardcore John Wall fan, and get him sharing the campaign with his friends. In an effort to elevate the brand even further, we partnered with Spotify to be one of the first advertiser-branded Spotify apps and to create a custom brand playlist, which at the time had never been done before. The playlist included some of John Wall’s favorite tunes, including the likes of 2Pac, JAY Z, Kanye and others. The partnership generated some much warranted media attention via Ad Age.
