Using social communities, develop leads for US Bank’s small business customer division.
Launch a Facebook contest, incentivizing small business owners to get involved on the US Bank Facebook page and invite others to do the same. The “Look Up With US” Challenge encouraged business owners to share their success stories or their business philosophies for a chance to win up to $15,000 in prizes. Once a small business story was submitted, the campaign presented all entries in an easy-to-navigate mosaic. Social users could then browse and vote on their favorite entries. The highest votes were shown as the largest-sized squares on the grid, and the remaining businesses are scaled down according to their respective vote count. Business owners were incentivized to aggressively share their entry with family friends by the prospect of this "increased visibility" within the campaign. The contest provided a number of sharing streams including Social's “Post to Wall” and “Invite Friends,” as well as “Post to Twitter.” Users were also invited to comment on entries using our social comments plugin. Mosaic filters were put in place so users could navigate easily via number of votes, industry type, location, and date submitted. The "Look Up With US” Challenge was a unique cross-platform campaign in the way it allowed businesses to interact and promote themselves within the social sphere.
